Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the SwiftPDF Android application (“the App”) and the website at swiftpdf.osourcesol.com, operated by openSourceSol (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

SwiftPDF provides PDF tools including view, compress, merge, split, and sign features. All core tools are available free of charge. The App may display advertisements unless you purchase the optional ad-free upgrade.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the App. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Process only PDFs and content you have the right to use
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the App or its servers
• Not use the App to distribute malware or infringing material
• Comply with applicable laws, including copyright and data-protection rules

4. File processing

When you use PDF processing features, files you select may be transmitted to our servers solely to perform the requested operation. You retain ownership of your files. You are responsible for keeping backups of important documents.

5. Advertising and ad-free purchase

The free version of SwiftPDF may show banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements served by third-party ad networks. You may purchase a one-time “Remove Ads” upgrade through Google Play for $3.99 USD (or the equivalent in your local currency). Purchases are processed by Google Play and subject to Google’s terms and refund policies.

6. Intellectual property

The App, website, branding, and related materials are owned by openSourceSol or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights—only a limited, revocable license to use the App for personal or internal business purposes.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT PROCESSED FILES WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OPENSOURCESOL AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $10 USD IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE A PURCHASE.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App or any feature if required by law, security concerns, or business reasons.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where openSourceSol operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
